Associate member of UL/Wireless TWG that produce open system architecture application standards and collaborative analysis of enterprise VOIP infrastructure models.

Project Lead for proposal, cost benefit, requirements definition and design phase of $2.8M Boeing/MDC C-17 Program Automated Data Capture (ADC) Project which implemented barcode applications and RF data collection infrastructure. Project contributed to C-17 Program win of 1998 Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award in Manufacturing. Project was nominated for Boeing C-17's Silver Eagle process improvement award for documented annual $3M recurring cost savings for barcode receiving / shipping label segment. The label was first in aerospace industry that was compliant with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) barcode shipping label standard MH10.8M.

Internationally recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) and scholar in AIT standards and applications. Practitioner of supply chain management system and process improvements. Performance letters of commendation / appreciation from industry available on request.

Initiated 2002 company-wide deployment project for ISO 15394 Global Shipping / Receiving Barcode Label. When optimized with ASN / EDI (E-Commerce) tools, it facilitates integrated supply chain that enables Point of Use delivery, (Lean process improvement). Projected inventory process span time reduction is conservatively 30 to 50 days, resulting in significant cost savings.

Collaborated with the DoD / DLA AIT Logistics Integrated Product Team (IPT) on development of their 2001 AIT Implementation Plan. Developed plan which contains supporting policy, standards and deployment plans for new 2D barcode applications for shipping labels (MILSTD-129) and part / product marking (MILSTD-130).

Appointed by Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) to represent aerospace on ANSI, EIA and ISO automated data capture standards creation committees. Participated in national industry collaborative design of six (6) Electronics Industry Association (EIA), ten (10) ANSI standards and twelve (12) ISO Automated Data Capture standards.

Proposed, negotiated and incorporated supplier identification encoding method for globally unique item license plate identification, used in ISO / ANSI / EIA standards which avoided an estimated future negative cost impacts to the global manufacturing supply chain.

Promote technology and participate in the planning and deployment. Initiated Boeing Global Bar Coded Shipping Label Std. development and deployment project based on ISO 15394 International Shipping Label.

Participated in development of new MILSTD-129 packaging specification using ISO commercial stds. for DD-1387, 1348-1 and DD-250 documentation incorporating linear bar codes and 2D symbols. Scope expansion imminent to include Product/Part Marking integration with new MILSTD-130 2D marking requirements.

The next level of technology insertion in both processes is RF/ID tag applications for passive data collection. University collaboration with MIT intern on S&C Houston site advanced manufacturing systems and infrastructure. Review and assess emerging biometric security applications for inclusion in Common Employee Badge.

C-17 Automated Data Collection Project contributed to win of 1998 Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award in Manufacturing. Appointed by the Aerospace Industry Association (AIA) to industry, national and international ADC standards committees as their voting representative.

Successfully promoted & incorporated the alternative use of the free DUNS number for supplier ID in ISO/ANSI/EIA ADC standards for global shipping label and draft part/product marking std.

· Significant future cost avoidance to global manufacturing suppliers, who otherwise would have to pay a license fee to the Uniform Code Council (UCC) for their Supplier ID.

Participated in the creation and publication of 10 ANSI, 6 EIA and 12 ISO Automated Data Capture Standards.
